By signing up and using the Fortuna Online service you agree to the following terms and conditions.


General

1.1 We aim to protect your details and keep confidential information as safe as possible  - legal claims, private or corporate enquiries, family members requests etc. If for some reasons (death, overseas residing, physical or mental incapacity etc.) you cannot use your virtual identity and you cannot contact our online operator to destroy your registration then we will keep your registration and your account for the period of 25 years, and after this period it will be destroy without further notification and without anu backup records.

1.2 If your virtual and real identities become the subject of third party legal procedure then our online operator will try to contact you by your email and will follow your instructions. But it is not possible to establish contact with you during 3 days then all information about your virtual and real identities, your registration, your account and your archive will be destroyed without any backup records.

 

Delivery

Please fill out your delivery information as correctly as possible to avoid delays with your delivery. If your suburb is not indicated in the list below, it means we cannot deliver directly to you. This might be due to security issues, roads or other conditions outside of our control. If this is the case, you can pick up your purchase from one of our convent locations. You just need to fill in your name as the receiver. Fortuna Online delivers the purchased goods and items to areas, which are opened for delivery. We do not deliver the purchased goods and items to areas, which are closed for delivery.

2.1. Due to security problems, lack of city infrastructure, difficult access, unmarked streets and lots and sections numbers etc., all locations in Port Moresby and Lae divided to 2 types of locations - opened for delivery and closed for delivery.

2.2 Fortuna Online delivers the purchased goods and items to areas, which are opened for delivery. And we do not deliver the purchased goods and items to areas, which are closed for delivery.

2.3. Fortune Online has network of pick up offices around Port Moresby and Lae, where our customers can pick up the purchased goods and items - pick up offices are open from 9:00am to 6:00pm. You can also pick up from our main warehouses - from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

2.4. Delivery by Fortuna Online of the purchased goods and items is free. People who have indicated themselves as a Receiver of the purchased goods and items should bring photo identification such as passport, driving license, firearm license or other photographic identification documents. ID that is easy to forge will be not be accepted for identification.

2.5. Delivery by Fortuna Online of the purchased goods and items is done based on the information indicated in Delivery Docket by the customer. If a customer has made errors and indicated wrong location information or includes a Receiver a without proper identification documents, then delivery process will be canceled. We have a customer canellation fee of K50. The purchased goods and items will be taken back to main warehouse of Fortuna Online. If your delivery is cancelled you will receive an email notification and you should then contact Fortuna Online’s customer service to settle outstanding fees and then the parcel will be released from the main warehouse.

2.6. For customers who do not settle their fines during the 60 days period they will have their Fortuna Online membership cancelled.

2.7. For customers whose deliveries have been cancelled 2 times already, they will be excluded from delivery facility and they should pick up their purchased goods and items for chosen pick up office.

2.8. If the purchased goods and items were not picked up from indicated pick up office during 7 days then these goods and items will be transferred to the main warehouse where our customer service team will contact customers by email to arrange the pick up from main warehouse. 

 

3. Content

3.1. While we endeavour to supply accurate information on this site, errors and omissions may occur. Fortuna Online does not accept any liability, direct or indirect, for any loss or damage which may directly or indirectly result from any advice, opinion, information, representation or omission whether negligent or otherwise, contained on this site. You are solely responsible for the actions you take in reliance on the content on, or accessed, through this site.

3.2. Fortuna Online reserves the right to make changes to the content on this site at any time and without notice.

3.3. To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, Fortuna Online makes no warranties in relation to the merchantability, fitness for purpose, freedom from computer virus, accuracy or availability of this web site or any other web site.

 

4. Ordering goods and services from us

4.1. When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods or services. An order is placed on our website via adding a product to the shopping cart and proceeding through our checkout process. The checkout process includes giving us delivery and any other relevant details for your order eg. an optional gift message for gift cards, entering payment information and submitting your order. The final step consists of a confirmation page with full details of your order, which you are able to print as a receipt of your order

4.2. We reserve the right to limit the number of an item customers can purchase in a single transaction.

4.3. We will send you an e-mail to confirm that we have received and accepted your order, which indicates that your order has been accepted and you may not cancel it.

4.4. We will take payment from you when we accept your order

 

5. Refusing or cancelling orders

5.1. In the unlikely event that the goods or services ordered are no longer available we reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order.

5.2. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders that we believe, solely by our own judgement, to have been placed fraudulently.

5.3. While we endeavour to ensure that the price and description of goods or services is accurate, if there is an error in the process of listing a product or service on our website or a technical error in the processing of your order we reserve the right to refuse or cancel the order.

5.4 .Our right to cancel orders applies to orders that have been accepted.

7. Pricing

7.1. All prices listed on www.fortunaonline.com are in PNG Kina and are inclusive of tax.  Please note that we reserve the right to alter prices on our websites at any time for any reason. Online and in store pricing may differ.

7.2. Our prices do not include import fees, duties, tariffs or other charges which may be payable in relation to an order.   If the product has a plane beside the delivery lead time it is sourced from an overseas supplier.  The customer may be liable to pay these taxes if they purchase a product or products from our site that are imported from an overseas supplier where their single order exceeds the PNG low valuetax threshold.  

 

8. Website and Credit Card Security

8.1. We want you to have a safe and secure shopping experience online. All payments via our sites are processed using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol, whereby sensitive information is encrypted to protect your privacy.

8.2. You can help to protect your details from unauthorised access by logging out each time you finish using the site, particularly if you are doing so from a public or shared computer.

8.3. For security purposes certain transactions may require proof of identification.

 

9. Delivery and Delivery Charges

9.1. At this time, we only deliver to PNG addresses.  We do not deliver to Post Office boxes. For an outline of our delivery charges please visit our Delivery page.
Please note that a signature is required for all deliveries. The goods become the recipient’s property and responsibility once they have been signed for at the time of delivery. If goods are lost or damaged in transit, please contact us within 7 business days at [email protected]  We will offer you the choice of a replacement or a full refund.

 

10. Restricted Products

Some products on our site carry an age restriction, if a product you have selected is R16 or R18 a message will appear in the cart asking you to confirm you are an appropriate age to purchase the item(s).  Confirming this means that you are of an eligible age to purchase the selected product(s).  You are also agreeing that you are not purchasing the item on behalf of a person who is not the appropriate age.

11. Returns

Please visit the Returns page for full details on the returns process. Gift cards cannot be returned because the gift card value is activated at the time of purchase. Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

 

12. Gift card usage

Pre paid gift cards are redeemable for goods sold on Fortuna. Lost or stolen cards are the responsibility of the holder. Gift cards cannot be used as payment on Fortuna credit cards or on Finance balances. Gift cards expire 12 months after the last transaction. Balance information can be given at any store.

 

13. Accessing our service

Other than connecting to Fortuna Online website by HTTP requests using a web browser, you may not gain access to Fortuna Online website servers. You agree not to disrupt, modify or interfere with our websites or services and their associated software, hardware and servers in any way. You also agree not to modify any content or service on Fortuna Online websites. Furthermore, you agree not to use our sites in any inappropriate or unlawful way.

 

14. Disclaimer

Our websites are intended to provide information for people shopping our products and accessing our services, including making purchases via our website and registering on our database to receive e-mails from us.
